Shasta Addessi
Shasta Addessi leads Kaiser Permanente (KP) in San Mateo County, with responsibility for the health and care of over 250,000 members and oversight of both KP Redwood City Medical Center and KP South San Francisco Hospital. With over 16 years of experience in healthcare management, Shasta Addessi is dedicated to improving patient care. Previously she served as the Chief Operating Officer at KP Santa Clara Medical Center, overseeing the operations of the 360-bed hospital and associated services.
Prior to joining KP, Shasta held numerous leadership roles at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, part of Sutter Health. She started her healthcare career as an intern at San Mateo Medical Center. Shasta currently serves on the Board of the California Association of Health Leaders as the Membership and Volunteer Growth chair. She holds a Master of Health Service Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
Shasta grew up in Foster City and later moved to San Mateo. Her family was in the grocery business, where she learned the importance of caring for employees, providing excellent customer service, and giving back to the community. Her and her extended family all live in San Mateo County, so on weekends you can find her with family coaching or cheering on her two boys at soccer or baseball games .
