Niraj Singh

Niraj has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Redwood City Area since September 2018. As the COO, she is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and utilization management ensuring that our members get the best care they need. Her areas of expertise include patient-centered care, employee engagement, physician relations, regulatory compliance, and financial management.

Prior to her COO role, Niraj was the Executive Director for the expansion into the Santa Cruz County. She provided strategic direction and collaborated with those in the community and other organizations to formulate both near and long-term strategies. In 2017, her leadership led to the successful opening of the three planned medical offices. Through this period, Niraj promoted KP’s vision of strong membership growth by growing membership from 6,000 to over 26,000 members.

Preceding her time as the Executive Director, Niraj was the Area Compliance and Privacy Officer for Kaiser San Jose Medical Center. There she established an effective compliance culture through collaboration and commitment from the peer senior executive leadership team and physicians.

In addition to her work at KP San Jose Service Area, Niraj has over 15 years of years of prior health care industry experience in strategic development, performance improvement, health information systems, and finance.

Niraj is a graduate of 2017 Executive Leadership Program (ELP) from Harvard Business School. She also graduated from the San Jose Community Leadership Program. She is a recipient of the 2013 YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women Award. Niraj is very passionate about people development and has been active in KP’s formal mentorship program since 2013. She is very proud of her 5 mentees who are flourishing in their professional career.
