“The review is required at least once every eight years under the County Charter, which establishes the structure, powers and limits of County government. The 2026 Charter Review Committee is charged with holding public hearings and recommending whether the Charter should be updated to reflect changes in law, governance practices or community expectations. Any proposed amendments would ultimately require Board and voter approval.”
