Christine McSweeney

Christine McSweeney, MBA, FACHE, serves as the Hospital President for Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City and Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz. In this role, she oversees the operations and strategic growth of both facilities, ensuring a steadfast commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and economic vitality across the Central Coast.

Since joining the Dignity Health California Region in April 2026, McSweeney has prioritized a culture of excellence; during her leadership, both Sequoia and Dominican Hospitals were named "Best Regional Hospitals" by the U.S. News & World Report. Additionally, in recognition of her commitment to high-quality healthcare and her impactful leadership, in 2026 she was named one of the "Women Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know" by Becker’s Hospital Review and “Woman to Watch” and “Most Influential Woman” by Utah Business for her previous role as President of Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley and West Valley in Utah.

McSweeney holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). She recognizes that community health is a cornerstone of economic prosperity and is dedicated to driving regional resilience through collaboration.
