In 2016, SAMCEDA launched “THRED Talks” to spotlight the bold ideas, visionary leadership, and collaborative action shaping the future of our region. Created as a platform for innovation and dialogue, "THRED Talks" explores how communities, industries, and institutions rise to meet the complex challenges and extraordinary opportunities that come with change.
More than a speaker series, "THRED Talks" is a movement to weave our communities together. The word “THRED” reflects the interconnected issues that define our future: Transportation, Housing, Healthcare, Resiliency, Renewal, Recovery, Regionalism, Economy, Equity, Environment, Determination, Development, and much more.
Each conversation is designed to connect people, spark new thinking and inspire action across sectors, bringing together leaders who are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient San Mateo County and Silicon Valley region.
