SAMCEDA’s 2025 Holiday Reception
SAMCEDA proudly hosted its annual Holiday Reception as a heartfelt thank-you to our valued members and community leaders for their continued support throughout the year.
Held at the Skyway Center in San Carlos, the evening brought together attendees for meaningful conversations and networking.
Attendees also had the opportunity to experience and learn about the innovative products and services of SAMCEDA members BrewBird and Picnic.





KQED’s Wicked Director Jon M. Chu in Conversation with Mina Kim
The live audience had the unique opportunity to witness an exclusive interview with Wicked’s director, Jon M. Chu, and Mina Kim of KQED’s award-winning series, Forum with Mina Kim & Alexis Madrigal at the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco.
The conversation delved into his life growing up in the Bay Area with his family, his path to finding his identity, and the experiences that ultimately shaped his rise in Hollywood, spanning big-budget films and his efforts to bring culture and representation to the cinematic landscape.

San Mateo County Central Labor Council’s Holiday Luncheon
The San Mateo County Central Labor Council and the San Mateo County Building & Construction Trades Council hosted their annual Holiday Luncheon at The Westin San Francisco Airport in Millbrae, where they showcased notable accomplishments and shared key updates.


Child Care Blueprint Convening
Child care providers and advocates attended a countywide convening that marked a year of collaboration and shared progress on the near-final San Mateo County Child Care Blueprint.
Held at the Sobrato Center in Redwood City, the gathering highlighted the collective work behind the plan, offered a preview of its direction, and created space to reflect, connect with partners, and consider next steps as implementation approaches in 2026.


SAMCEDA’s Team Holiday Celebration
The SAMCEDA team gathered at Filoli to mark the holiday season, touring the historic house, exploring the gardens, and celebrating in the legendary ballroom.


County of San Mateo’s Retirement Celebration for Iliana Rodriguez
Elected officials, community leaders, and County of San Mateo staff gathered to honor Iliana Rodriguez as she prepared for retirement.
The celebration, held at the Regional Operations Center in Redwood City, included remarks acknowledging her leadership as Assistant County Executive and her 38 years of public service.
