With the Innovators: 2020 SAMCEDA Awards of Excellence event approaching quickly and in light of The Grove – Google Experience Center’s new policies involving travel and event attendance, we wanted to inform you with an important update. Based on Google’s most latest assessment, the potential difficulties around travel, and in consideration of general public health and safety, Google has decided to postpone our Innovators event (originally scheduled for Monday, March 16th).
 
We will keep you updated on a rescheduled date. We appreciate Google’s support of our event and look forward to celebrating our Innovators with everyone in the future.

Innovators: SAMCEDA Awards of Excellence showcases:
 
  • Innovator Awards - Five prestigious awards are handed out, honoring various companies located within San Mateo County, who are recognized for their innovation: Alector, Course Hero, IONpath, Robinhood, and Snowflake.
     
  • David D. Bohannon Award - This prestigious award is dedicated to the memory of David D. Bohannon, Founder and Past President of SAMCEDA. The Award was established in 1995 and is presented to an individual for his or her demonstrated significant leadership and success in business, contributions towards building the local economy, and enrichment of the quality of life of San Mateo County through community service and philanthropy. This year's 2020 honoree recipient will be Stacey Wagner of Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center.
